ALDI DALLO SPAZIO – “Quasar” – 2019
Aldi dallo Spazio is an Italian progressive rock band formed in 2015 in Ravenna, Italy. The first part of their name, “ALDI”, acts as a peculiar acronym standing for Awesome Lysergic Dream Innovation from Space. The band originally started as a project among five young musicians looking to blend their distinct musical backgrounds into a singular cohesive sound. In late 2017, the group digitally self-released the first version of their concept album, Quasar. The sonic signature of Aldi dallo Spazio sits comfortably within the Heavy Prog and Space Rock subgenres. Their primary mission is to break free from rigid modern genre definitions while maintaining the raw spontaneity of rock music. Substantial inspiration is drawn from the golden 1970s era, channeling the complexity of British icons like Yes, Genesis, Supertramp, and Pink Floyd, as well as the intricate melodic arrangements of the legendary Rock Progressivo Italiano (RPI) scene, particularly Premiata Forneria Marconi (PFM) and Procession. The band consists of five core members, accompanied occasionally by studio guests: Dario Federici – Lead vocals, keyboards, Simone Sgarzi – Guitars, backing vocals, Davide Mosca – Guitars (former member of the Italian heavy rock band Witchwood), Marco Braschi – Bass guitar, and Lorenzo Guardigli – Drums, backing vocals, including a guest Musician: Marco Zoli – Saxophone (featured as a guest performer on two tracks of their album).
OSIRIS – “Within a Dream” – 2026
Osiris was formed in 1980 in Manama, Bahrain. Founded by the brothers Mohamed and Nabil Alsadeqi, they are widely recognized as the very first progressive rock band from Bahrain and trailblazers of the genre in the Persian Gulf region. They named the band after the Egyptian deity Osiris to signify Arab culture, youth, and fertility. Their early live shows at the end of 1981 were famous for theatrical elements, including light shows, smoke bombs, and the charismatic singer Isa Janahi donning colorful capes. Because Bahrain lacked vinyl pressing plants at the time, their self-titled 1982 debut album had to be manufactured in the Philippines. After a hiatus between 1993 and 2000, the group was rediscovered globally when the French label Musea Records reissued their catalog. The band celebrated its 40th anniversary and continues to create music, announcing their latest material under the Osiris Band Instagram page. The Osiris’ music relies heavily on dual-keyboard configurations, sweeping Minimoog analog synth leads, and complex rhythm shifts. Also, they are distinct for integrating Arabian folklore melodies, exotic percussion scales, and Middle Eastern thematic structures directly into traditional progressive rock arrangements. Osiris’ “Within a Dream” presents a 55-minute journey of atmospheric, emotionally charged rock shaped by a distinctive Bahrain-based ensemble. Led by Syed Ahmed Rawanbakhsh on vocals and driven by guitarist Mohamed Alsadeqi, the album blends expressive guitar lines, layered keyboards and dynamic rhythmic shifts from Nabil Alsadeqi and Hadi Saeed. With contributions from Nader Sharif, Abdul Razzaq Arian and Khalid Shamlan, the five tracks — ranging from the sweeping “House of Pain” to the reflective “Don’t Ask Me Why” — form a cohesive, immersive statement of melodic depth and cultural identity.
OSIRIS CONTINUUM – “Continuum” – 2026
Osiris Continuum is a historical Canadian progressive rock project originating from Granby, Québec. The project centers around unreleased 1970s material that was officially restored, mixed, and brought to light decades later. In 1974, four Québec teenagers—Tim Ladd, Paul Kolbe, Mark Brousseau & Pascal Mailloux—formed the band with manager Norm Rodrigue. Driven by ambition far beyond their 16 to 18 years, they created 11 original songs—melodic, ambitious, and distinctly progressive. The young group composed a full repertoire of complex, melodic progressive rock but the original recordings remained locked away. Exactly 50 years after their initial formation, the original members unearthed and carefully restored their archive. The master tracks were finalized and mastered in 2025, leading to the band re-emerging under the expanded moniker Osiris Continuum to share their musical time capsule with the world. Osiris Continuum plays a authentic, vintage style of 1970s Progressive Rock and Classic Art Rock. Because the foundation of the album rests entirely on 1974 recordings, their sound inherently captures the raw sonic texturing of that specific golden era. 50 years later, we present “Continuum”, a time capsule from 1974–75, inviting you to rediscover this music—a vivid flashback from another era.
