Mourning Knight is a progressive rock band from Westchester County, NY, USA, a small town in Westchester County, New York. The band is one of the modern representatives of cinematic, atmospheric, and symphonic melancholic progressive rock. Heavily influenced by the atmospheres and musical soundscapes of the Progressive Rock from the seventies, passion, drama, and a cinematic sense are brought together with lyrics that convey the darker, melancholy side of life. The group started as a Project led by the composer and multi-instrumentalist Jason Brower, a former member of the bands “Shadow Circus” and “Ceiling Unlimited”. Mourning Knight edited two albums, both in CDr, the first called “Mourning Knight” was released in 2021, and the second one was released in 2023 and titled “A World of Dreams”, composed of long and symphonic tracks, with almost 60 minutes of a pure musical delight. The musicians on this second album are Jason Brower – drums, lead vocals, piano, organs, Mellotron, synths, Norm Dodge – electric guitar, bass, Nancy Scorcia – acoustic guitar, backing vocals, and Roo Brower – backing vocals.

Fabio Zuffanti is an Italian multi-instrumentalist and composer a well-known name for those with a keen interest in Italian progressive rock. After starting as a musician in 1994, he’s worked with and been a member of a score of bands: Aries, Finisterre, Höstsonaten, Lazona, La Maschera Di Cera, Quadraphonic, Rohmer, La Curva Di Lesmo and R.U.G.H.E. The first debut release solo album may be regarded as one of his side bold projects, the release of the double CD “Merlin – The Rock Opera” in 2000 may be regarded as his first solo venture. Victoria Heward wrote the lyrics and screenplay for this production, but Zuffanti supplied all the compositions used in this project, looking towards ventures such as “Jesus Christ Superstar” in terms of scope and ambition. 2024, five years after the last album “In/Out”, Fabio Zuffanti returns to the music scene with the new solo work “Hjarta”, as he has classified, his winter music record. Six songs are influenced, from every point of view, by elements that characterize the cold season. With melodies and arrangements that combine algid songwriting, rainy electronics, snowy psychedelia, and wide symphonic moments like flashes of sunshine in the frost. “Hjarta” (“Heart” in Icelandic) is released on December 21, 2024, the day of the winter solstice. The title comes from a poem by Italian writer Tommaso Labranca that Zuffanti soundtracked during a reading with him, in 2010.

The Brazilian Progressive Rock Band Sub Rosa was founded in 2006, based on an idea by bassist Reinaldo José, Daniel Deboni had been invited to form a progressive rock band with Vinícius Mendes. This band never came to be, but Reinaldo (bass and vocals) and Vinícius (guitar, keyboards, and vocals) invited Júnior Mansur (guitar, keyboards, and vocals) and Rômulo César (drums and vocals), making this the first official line-up of Sub Rosa. The name Sub Rosa (“under the rose”) means an expression used to denote secrecy or confidentiality. The first official album, the conceptual “The Gigsaw”, was released in 2009. Highly praised for its elaborate concept, musicality, and symbology, it sold more than 15,000 copies worldwide, independently, with the support of small distributors from the USA and Europe. After seven years of recording, the second album “11:11” was finally released on November 11, 2021. “11:11” is a concept album edited in a double CD. In 2024, Sub Rosa started production on its third album, “AniGmA”, and the audiovisual KriTherion. The album “AniGma”, was recorded at Audio Track Studio, in addition to the actual band musicians Barbara Laranjeira – vocals, drums, Rudolf Pinto – guitars, vocals, Reinaldo Jose – bass, vocals, and Romulo Cesar – drums, vocals, features Walner Lucas on keyboards and Ariane Tavares on some vocals, is now available in digital version. Physical versions will be released throughout 2025.
